Flick is the fastest, most reliable window switcher for macOS. Every window, on every Space, on screen the instant you press ⌘Tab.
Free and open source. For macOS 26 Tahoe and later.
From letting go of ⌘ to your window on top. Flick is done before the others have started.
Shown 25 times slower than real life. Medians of measured switches on a MacBook Air with macOS 27. Flick and AltTab 7.26 were timed on the same Mac.
The built-in ⌘Tab picks an app and brings back whichever of its windows it used last. Flick shows every window, so you land on the one you meant.
You wanted Flights. You got Recipes.
Every window is its own tile. Pick Flights, get Flights.
A quick ⌘Tab almost always goes back to the window you were just in. Flick starts bringing it forward the moment you press, so it's already there when you release.
Swipe up with three fingers and your desktops fan out into a grid, each window where it really sits. Drag a window onto another Space to move it. Click one to go straight there, with no slide.
Name your Spaces and arrange them the way you think about them. The grid stays the same every time.
Switch without touching the keyboard. Both gestures are optional.
Slide to choose, lift to switch, as on Windows.
The Spaces grid follows your fingers.
You'll press ⌘Tab thousands of times a week. It has to work every single time.
Flick switches through macOS itself, never by asking the app. A hung app can't hold you up.
If Flick ever crashes, the built-in ⌘Tab is back the same instant, and Flick restarts itself.
No polling and no busy loops. Flick only wakes for ⌘Tab and window changes, and the whole app is 2 MB.
Measured against the built-in ⌘Tab and AltTab, the most popular alternative.

To answer ⌘Tab and bring windows forward. macOS asks the first time you open it, and Flick's Settings shows whether it's allowed.
Only for the window previews. Without it, tiles show app icons instead. Nothing is recorded or saved.
Never. It has no account, no analytics and no update checks. Nothing about your windows leaves your Mac.
Yes, every feature, for good. It's open source under the MIT licence. If you'd like to say thanks, you can buy me a coffee.
Instant Space jumps and reading the trackpad use parts of macOS the App Store doesn't allow. The first time you open it, macOS may ask you to allow it in System Settings, under Privacy & Security.
Yes. Clone the repository and run ./build.sh --install. It needs Apple's Command Line Tools and nothing else.
Any Mac with macOS 26 Tahoe or later. Moving windows between Spaces and jumping straight to another Space need macOS 27.
Turn off Open at Login in Flick's Settings, choose Quit Flick, then move Flick to the Bin. The built-in ⌘Tab comes back as soon as Flick quits.
